URBAN ART MUSEUM

This project was inspired by my interest in the way museums use typography, color, and layout to shape the visitor experience. I created a contemporary visual identity system for a fictional Urban Art Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina, focusing on accessibility, multilingual design, and modern visual communication. Through bold typography, expressive color, and structured layouts, I wanted to create a system that feels both visually engaging and welcoming across a wide range of applications.

Visually, I wanted the identity to feel modern, structured, and expressive without overwhelming the artwork itself. I drew inspiration from museum branding systems, editorial layouts, and contemporary exhibition graphics, using strong grid systems, bold typography, and high contrast compositions to create clarity and consistency across every application. I paired clean sans serif typefaces with more editorial and expressive fonts to create hierarchy and visual rhythm while still keeping the system easy to navigate.

As part of the project, I also designed bilingual directory brochures, exhibition posters, wayfinding materials, and promotional applications to show how the system could function across multiple formats. My overall goal was to create a flexible identity system that future designers could continue building from while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable brand.
