HOT STUFF!

HOT STUFF! *
This project started as a fun way to combine beauty branding with the bold energy of 70s disco culture. Inspired by Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff,” I created a playful campaign for CHI hair products focused around heat styling, confidence, and over-the-top glam. I leaned into warm reds, oranges, glossy finishes, and retro typography to make everything feel energetic and nostalgic without looking costume-y. From packaging to retail displays, I wanted the whole campaign to feel like stepping into a glowing disco dream at Ulta.

“Hot Stuff” was my excuse to fully commit to something loud, shiny, and dramatic. I designed this campaign around the idea of heat — hot tools, hot colors, hot lighting, and big personality. The project includes product packaging, social media concepts, and an Ulta gondola display that all work together as one bold visual system. I loved experimenting with retro-inspired typography, gradients, chrome textures, and layered graphics to create something that feels playful but still polished enough for a real beauty launch.
